About

Jaeyeon Kihm earned a B.S. in Computer Science, cum laude, from the Illinois Institute of Technology (2007), and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2009). He pursued doctoral research in Information Science at Cornell University from 2011 to 2014, focusing on interactive information systems. In 2016, he founded a smart home startup in New Jersey, supported by funding from Samsung and Comcast NBCUniversal. He completed all CPA exam sections in 2025 and is currently a Ph.D. student in Accounting Information Systems at Rutgers Business School.

Research Interests

His research focuses on applying theories from accounting, economics, and finance to develop analytical and computational models for financial reporting and auditing. He is particularly interested in how AI and human–AI interaction shape assurance quality and regulatory oversight.
